Subacute and chronic toxicity: After rats inhaled 12mg/m3 (multiple times in a row) for eight days, 2/15 animals had cornea cloudiness and blindness; 9/28 people who inhaled 40% ethylene glycol mixture experienced transient fainting; people inhaled 40 % ethylene glycol mixture heated to 105 ℃ repeated inhalation, 14/38 nystagmus, 5/38 lymphocytosis.
Hazardous characteristics: There is a danger of burning and explosion when exposed to open flame, high heat or contact with oxidants. In case of high heat, the internal pressure of the container will increase, and there is a danger of cracking and explosion.
